Are you ready to embark on a journey of personal growth and become the best version of yourself? I want to share the incredible power of investing in your own development and offer actionable steps even though I know you are super busy so you can embrace your own journey of self-discovery and unlock your true potential.

Personal growth is not just a buzzword; it’s a life-changing process that can lead to profound transformations in both our personal and professional lives. It is something that has profoundly impacted my life, and I’m passionate about sharing its transformative power with you.

Surprisingly, only a small percentage of women actively invest in personal development. Shocking, right? But it’s true – and it’s time to change that!

The thing is, in today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We’re often so focused on our jobs, families, and responsibilities that we forget to take care of ourselves – personally and mentally. Neglecting personal growth can lead to feelings of stagnation, lack of fulfillment, and missed opportunities for self-discovery.

But fear not! I’m here to share some actionable steps to help you invest in your personal development journey. One of my favorite ways to grow personally is through podcasts and books. Oh boy, do I have some recommendations for you!

First and foremost, The Goal Digger Podcast with Jenna Kutcher is an absolute must-listen. Jenna’s insights and wisdom on business and life will leave you feeling inspired and empowered. Another gem is Made for This with Jennie Allen, where she dives deep into faith and personal growth. And let’s not forget On Purpose with Jay Shetty – his interviews with thought leaders are pure gold. Have you ever listened to Whoa, That’s Good with Sadie Robertson Huff? Oh man. Oh, and I recently stumbled upon Let’s Unpack That with Alex and Grace – trust me, you’ll love it! I really could keep going, I have so many favorites.

Now, onto books – my go-to companions for personal development. If you’re new to this journey, start with “You Are the Girl for the Job” by Jess Connolly. It’s a powerful reminder of your worth and purpose. “Everything is Figureoutable” by Marie Forleo is another gem that will ignite your problem-solving superpowers. Jenna Kutcher’s “How Are You Really” will nurture your soul, and “Get Out of Your Head” by Jennie Allen will help you conquer self-doubt. Plus, if you need guidance on setting boundaries (and who doesn’t?), “Boundaries” by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend is an essential read.

Now, let’s talk about the why behind this journey. Personal development is like nurturing a garden. When you invest time and effort in yourself, your mind blossoms, and you unlock your full potential. It’s not just about achieving external success; it’s about finding inner peace, self-awareness, and a sense of purpose.

I get it, finding time for personal development might seem challenging. But there are practical strategies to make it happen. First, create a dedicated space for personal growth – whether it’s carving out time in the morning or evening, find what works for you. Start small – even 10 minutes a day of reading, listening to a podcast, or practicing mindfulness can make a significant difference.

And here’s a little secret – you don’t have to do it all at once. Consistency is key, so start with one book or one podcast, and build from there. Setting achievable goals will keep you motivated along the way.

Here are some practical strategies you can implement in your daily routine:

  • Morning Moments of Reflection: Start your day with a few minutes of mindfulness or journaling. Reflect on your goals, affirmations, and what you’re grateful for. This sets a positive tone for the day ahead.
  • Podcast Power Hour: Turn your commute or workout time into a “Podcast Power Hour.” Listen to personal development podcasts that inspire and motivate you.
  • Book Club Time: Set aside regular time for reading. Even if it’s just a few pages before bedtime, it can make a significant difference in your personal growth journey.
  • Goal Setting Ritual: Develop a goal-setting ritual, where you outline your short-term and long-term objectives. Breaking them down into actionable steps keeps you focused and accountable.
  • Accountability Partner: Find a like-minded friend or colleague to be your accountability partner. Together, you can support each other’s personal growth goals and celebrate your progress.

Remember, personal growth is a journey, not a destination. Be kind to yourself, embrace the process, and enjoy the progress you make along the way. Each step you take brings you closer to becoming the person you aspire to be.

I’d love to hear about your favorite podcasts and books in the comments. Let’s inspire each other to embrace the power of personal growth.

hey there!

This isn't your typical blog

I might be super messy action at times, basically like throwing spaghetti at the wall to see if it sticks. But I also happen to be your classic overthinker with a touch of perfectionist too. Makes for an interesting combo in my world.
Here I like to share whatever is helping me scale this business I love- marketing, social media, health, parenting, my love for Jesus, and a glimpse behind the curtain of my life.
